Contrary to popular belief, we do actually get work done here...
I don't think anyone in a creative industry could maintain their sanity without going insane from time to time. A perfect example of that contradicting statement would be "Hoverpong," a game Conrad and I made up to let some steam out.
What I like the best is how seemingly "useless fun" actually leads me to a higher level of productivity. The more fun I have, the more I get done. It's strange, but I'm learning about my brain more and more and I'm starting to see patterns. My least productive weeks are the least creative weeks, and the weeks when I have less time, I get more done. There could be some formal psychological diagnosis of what's actually going on in my brain, but I'd rather ride the wave than drown analyzing it.
So, without further adieu, I hereby deem Hoverpong an official creative catalyst. Enjoy.
